Okay, I solved part of my recent music dilemma with the discovery of The
Verve Pipe's first album, I've Suffered A Head Injury.  Love it.  Can't stop
listening to it.  I've always loved these guys, and consider them one of the
more underrated bands of the 90s (XTC connection -- Brian Vander Ark has
worked with Andy, if I'm not mistaken).  This was the only album I hadn't
yet acquired.

That said, does anyone know where to find the acoustic version of The
Freshman?  It was on the original release of this record, but was since
removed...the single is fine, but I remember the original version having
some great nuances.

Anyone?  Thanks in advance; merry christmas!

When I listened to XTC this year it was usually my vinyl English
Settlement (found on gemm.com)... XTC are still my all time favorite
band... definitely over the Beatles.

Ponga - Bobby Previte (100% improv - similar concept as Andy's Monstrance)

Bay Area singer/songwriter/guitarist)
Radiohead - In Rainbows/Hail to the Thief

VHS:
Human Highway -  Neil Young's collaborative full length comedy
including Devo (ill received by critics, but smarter than most have
given credit)

Event:
New Orleans Jazz Fest

Book:
Here, There and Everywhere by Geoff Emerick (what were the Beatles to
us, the fans, more than their recordings? -- here are the stories as
told by their primary engineer!!! ...he's got a bias for Paul, but who
really cares, this book is quite the charm - especially love the story
he tells of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da)
