Kevin-

With shipping, XTCIdeaRecords.co.uk offers the Apple Box for 20.61
British Pounds. In U.S. dollars, that's $35.87 (give or take a few
cents to account for your credit card's foreign currency charge).

Not Lame's site offers the Apple Box for $35, plus 4.25 shipping for a
grand total of $39.25.

The XTC Boutique is the better bargain. If you paid over $100 dollars,
you must have bought the Apple Box that came with the t-shirts.

I don't read the digests too often but I just read
#61.

XTC content: I had a meeting in Ocean City, MD
yesterday (about 2-1/2 hour drive from Washington,
D.C) so I decided to bring Wasp Star and an XTC
greatest hits CD that I compiled. (I hadn't listened
to XTC in a couple of months.) Wow - I forgot that
Andy Partridge writes songs as good as Lennon &
McCartney.

I also listened to Crimson's "The Power To Believe"
(which I love) and Kate's new one: Ariel.

I'm extremely disappointed with Ariel. (It took her
10 years to write THIS?!?!?!?!) The first two songs
are pretty good but it's all downhill after that. (Is
there a Kate newsgroup in which I can vent?) This
hot, sexy lady forgot how to rock out ... or even
write a melody. The Dreaming (a "10"), it aint.
(It's not even The Sensual World which was merely a
"5.")

Actually, he's rhyming "spinal" with "vinyl," not "spiral."
Just for the record (ha ha),

Hi all,

Glad to hear both the new tunes, which I find quite...er, tuneful.... But I
must admit I agree with the reviewer who said they sound a bit like 'Wasp
Star' outtakes (an album I love, BTW).... I loke Mr Moulding's in
particular... Whatever happened to revelutionary progression between records
though? A bit much to ask to reinvent the wheel everytime, I guess...

I must say I'm a bit distressed, having paid top dollar for T-Shirts and the
whole ball o' wax(works), that I'm hearing the tunes for free on the net and
NOT on my box-set which I've yet to recieve in spite of having pre-ordered
it weeks ago...

Grumpily,

I was just at the often hilarious "Television without Pity" site, and
the headline for their summary of the latest episode of "Charmed" (a
show I do not watch, I'd like to make clear) makes me think that
there's an XTC fan writing for them...

That's really...
