This item has been on the market for some time and has been deemed a fake by several of us in the XTC collecting arena. The biggest issue is that the tracklisting does not match the actual Wrapped in Grey vinyl release. There seems to be a growing number of attempts to counterfeit both the WIG cds and 7" and the SciFri Pic Slv 7". Ask a lot of questions before opening your wallet up for one of these items. you may not be getting what you are bargaining for.

Fake xtc acetates are known to exist so please be careful out there ! yours in xtc, Mark R. Strijbos

Message-ID: <20040922085306.2962.h009.c009.wm@mail.canada.com.criticalpath.net> Hey all VisionTV in Canada, had a promo for Wonderfalls starting in early October. My better half was watching the movie Nine To Five and the promo came up on a commercial break. Wonderfalls Mondays, 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. ET - Starting October 4 Jaye Tyler (Montreal's Caroline Dhavernas) is a young underachiever with a philosophy degree and a dead-end job at a Niagara Falls gift shop. Her life is headed nowhere, until inanimate objects begin speaking to her, offering cryptic messages that lead her into the lives of others in need. Is Jaye losing her mind - or getting guidance from a higher source? In its brief run on network television last spring, Wonderfalls won praise as one of the best new shows on the air. VisionTV presents the complete run of this delightfully quirky series, including nine never-before-aired episodes. Don Van Vliet quit the music business because he was tired of being a cult figure who didn't make much money who couldn't afford to pay his musicians much. He did start making a bit of money off his catalogue in the early 80's, touring with Zappa certainly helped too, so on his last couple of albums he could actually afford to hire musicians with a bit of experience under their belt, but it was kind of too little too late. The original Magic Band was basically very young music students, formally or informally, the only way he was able to keep some of them on was extensive touring in the early 70's. It didn't help, too, that he was ruining his voice with his two pack a day Marlboro habit. On the last album Ice Cream For Crow he pretty much speaks his way through the songs. That probably was the bigggest reason right there, having no voice left can't have been fun, besides he was making good money with painting with exhibits at places like the Guggenheim, so he's concentrated on painting since the early 80's. Though I hear he's semi-retired these days, still living in that trailer in Northern CA somewhere, due to some progressive neuro-muscular condition like MS.
