I have listed a lot of vinyl that I think might be of interest, but here is one starting point if you want to look; I have a couple of XTC-related lots: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180339468967 Thanks and have a great day! For those outside the UK I'm not sure whether you can get it "live" via the Net, never tried to be honest... Jamie

Message-ID: <326400.49366.qm@web83702.mail.sp1.yahoo.com> Wonderful show, even if an almost exact reprise of the 3/7/08 show. (With addition of "Hop," "Umbrellas" in a differnt place and "Senses" concluding song. Track list below.) Expansive Park West about 3/4 full, with balcony closed. Their website says, "Park West can hold up to 900 people for receptions and can comfortably seat groups of 100 to 700." I'd say a good 500 people. At one point the main commentator, organist/vocalist, I thnk Chris Neville, asked the crowd who had never been to a Tributosauros concert before, and good hundred people raised hands. Chris promised next year's concert in the "Signature Series" would be all new XTC tracklist; he then quipped that there's plenty of material to keep adding each year and "eventually this concert will be nine hours long." To the delight of the crowd. I walked around before the concert began and noted that the crowd was mostly middle-aged white men, 75% with dates, wives, and some couple dozen families and kids. The set-up, on stage, included 11 guitars in stands, two percussion sets and, noted at the end of the concert in thanks to the mixer, nine live mics. Most songs engaged 9-11 musicians on stage. The largest number was 14 musicians, with the strings and a delightful little Julia Morrison on "Dear God." The least number of musicians on stage were also the most hard-driving: three guitars, drummer and two extra back-up vocals to provide for the layered back-ups, mostly from "Black Sea" and "English Settlement." "Burning with Optimism's Flames" with Jeff Freling (from The Rock Squad) was phenomenal, as was Dag Juhin again (from Poi Dog Pondering) doing "No Thugs." My wife noted that the live, layered vocals on "Nearly Africa" seemed a greater accomplishment of timing and texture than the multi-tracking on the record. The earlier songs all had a small group up and dancing, with most heads bopping in the enthusiastic audience. The later, more complicated prduction values were served well by the large ensemble. I can't wait for next year....and I'm a transplanted Cubs fan. I was really shocked to see that they were even included. There must be an XTC fan on the inside who put them on the list, since it is hard to fathom what mainstream music top 10 list Dear God actually made, although I guess it was Billboard's #1 video in 1987 that must have qualified them. Back to major lurk mode.
