Hi:

Over at the XTCfans MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com/xtcfans), the
song of the week is "Train Running Low on Soul Coal."

If you want to know which Rolling Stones song inspired the central
guitar riff of the song, or why it's important not to be an asshole
musician, check out the XTCfans blog site at
http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans.

They push+pull tactics are driving me loco
They shouldn't do that no no no...

There is a new interview with Mr. Partridge, here:

Also, for the power-pop folks out there, Roger Klug (another hugely
talented sort out of Cincinnati, ala psychodots and Brian Lovely) has
released "More Help For Your Nerves," which is getting some very good
reviews. There are some interesting XTC and Dukesian moments on this
disc. Highly recommended!

Notes:
This is an excellent sounding recording and another previously
uncirculated(prior to June 2009) JEMS master recording. XTC is
probably the best kept secret when it comes to pop rock being a band
that should have had greater commercial successes than they had. This
is one of those bands a lot of people have heard of but not actually
heard outside the fans and music critics. This show captures XTC
touring in support of the Black Sea album as an opening act for The
Police.

I was in high school when this was recorded, *sigh*
