Message-ID: <BAY126-W6FB8C09462D651D8D2A3AF9FA0@phx.gbl> It was good to hear from Colin again. Interesting that Virgin is going to reissue the albums "English Settlement", "Skylarking" and "Oranges & Lemons" (three of their bestselling albums) with additional material. Sounds like they might all be finishing up demos to include although I'm not really sure WHY they are being reissue only 7 years after the last batch. Hopefully the mastering will be better--less compressed. Sounds like music has gradually rentered his life. Back to lurking mode. Wayne

Find out who played what, and why Dave says the band still has "much to thank Nigel for" by heading over to the XTCfans blog site at http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans. We're only making plans for Nigel Nigel just needs this helping hand... -Todd

I brought my considerable XTC collection to work and loaded it into i-Tunes along with all of the Fuzzy Warbles too. It is all mixed in on shuffle play with classical, Super Furry Animals, World Party, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan and Nick Drake. There is a little over 1200 songs and it's just the kind of stuff that can play in the background and offer a most pleasurable musical environment. Only occasionally do I have to hit the pause or forward button. I like it when music takes you someplace good whether it be a memory of a person, time or place. XTC has always done that for me in spades as do these other artists as well. Except maybe Nick Drake who is late to my listening party. I have never found myself jonesing to hear anything by him but he makes fairly good easy listening. And speaking of easy listening don't forget to pop your copy of The XTC BBC Radio 1 Live in Concert disc into your personal jukebox on 12/20. It was recorded a mere 28 years ago and it still rocks. http://chalkhills.org/reelbyreal/a_BBCLive.html Don't forget XTC bumper stickers make great presents! http://xtcstickers.jamielowe.net/ Seasons Greetings!Jamie Lowe Clock in My Head, Clock on the Wall, the two of them don't agree at all...

Message-ID: <146C8ECE-7CBF-4301-8B0B-FB0DF5EC2E35@mindspring.com> . . . Sorry, not an XTC album. It's my very own new album called GAME SHOW TEETH. Three years in the making, now with REAL drums! Andy plays some very tasty acoustic guitar soloing lines on the track called "Little Masterpiece." Dave amazes again with all sorts of guitars, bass, and "yak" guitar on a track called "The Man That Talked Too Much." If you liked my kid's album PURPLE BURT you'll probably like this one too, though it's not a kid's album. More like something for immature adults. It's almost rock -- stand back to avoid the noise and the glare coming off my insincere smile. It also features our very own Todd Bernhardt on drums, Jim Smart on guitars and keyboards, home recording legend R. Stevie Moore, and pop genius Andrea Perry, amongst others. You can listen to the whole thing here: http://www.reverbnation.com/meechmusic And if you are so kind, you can purchase it in three different ways: http://cdbaby.com/mitchfriedman4 https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s- xclick&hosted_button_id=1182580 http://www.digstation.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?albumID=ALB000024680 (mp3s only) Enjoy!
