I'm not sure how else to explain this short video that appeared on the web
page of Ben Eshbach (lead singer of the Sugarplastic) but enjoy...

Nope, you've just dissed my favourite album by far.......strange (well maybe
not,) the way people differ in their musical views. No lost opportunities here,
just pure genius...

oh yeah, and it was the only decent album in the car on my honeymoon ;-)

Beep-Bleeeep......Beep-Bleeeep (sound of radar as I ascend from the depths of
Lurkmeria)

Gott-DAMN! I've thought for years that if Andy and Robyn wrote/recorded
together it would be:
a. Brilliantly demented
b. Dementedly brilliant
c. I would be EXTREMELY happy
d. All of the above

The outtakes alone would be entertaining! Are they doing interviews
together?

Anybody else catch Andy talking this week on BBC Radio 2's new 3 part series
"Story of New Wave"? Saturday nights at 8.30pm (GMT). Great show, with Gang
of Four, Killing Joke, and plenty more as well as our guys. You can 'listen
again' on the BBC website. Part 2 is this coming Saturday - Andy again
according to the trailers!

In Chalkhills #12-8 Benjamin Gott mentions the exciting news that Monsieur
Le Partridge is working with Robyn Hitchcock (hopefully not on yet another
doomed collaborative project), of particular interest is one of the songs
Ben namechecks, viz: "Turn Me On Deadman".

If - in an idle hour or seven - one takes oneself off to
http://deathball.net/notpron - "The Hardest Puzzle On The Internet" and
manages to navigate successfully to Level 9 (the title of the page is
Revolution and the actual HTML file is named paulisdead.htm - there's some
kind of Flab 4 theme here) one might find that by clicking on the number
nine at the top left of the image and entering "turnmeon" as the username
and "deadman" as the password, one could proceed to Level 10. I'm guessing
that recently either Andy or Robyn have had a lot of spare time on their
hands in which to surf to obscure internet sites; play deliberately
obfuscatory, densely impenetrable puzzle games and then go off and write
some songs.

Me? I gave up at the point where I was staring cluelessly at a photo of a
pan of meat in an oven... or perhaps that was just dinnertime.

Shortly after hearing that the Milk and Honey Band had
signed to Ape, I found a copy of its "Round the Sun"
album for 99 cents used here in Houston, TX. It came
out in 1994, and I recommend it highly. Has anyone
else heard of this album (or any other old stuff by
the band)?
