I suppose others were wondering if it was going to be remastered rather than
if it was out of print. I'd like to see Virgin spruce it up for CD (it has
been 16 years after all). I would personally like to see it reisused as a 2
CD set with the other b-sides still MIA from a compilation with remastered
sound.

In the meantime I'll be happy listening to the latest Fuzzy compilations,
picking out the best bits and putting them on my ipod.

"But as I admitted in the last digest, all of my
anticipated rectal pains have been eased by the subsequent announcement of
the various package offerings on the APE site."

ALL your ** rectal pains?? ** You think YOU'VE got rectal pains???

Such a petulant lot you all are. Seriously. :)

"Is the ear-drum fragment signed?"

No, but it is laser-etched in numbered limited edition and comes with a
certificate of authenticity (lest you think it was David Lee Roth's).

Bloody Mr. Patridge will be eating bloody albacore
tuna instead of chunk style and bloody name-brand
macaroni & cheese instead of the store-brand variety
for at least one bloody week, because tonight I
stepped to the plate (is that a cricket reference,
too, or strictly baseball?) and purchased all eight
bloody "Fuzzy Warbles" discs plus the bloody
faux-stamp album and the bloody ninth disc of bloody
Mr. Patridge's eructations and borborygmi.

So now I've got standing with you people if I want to
complain about the lack of a legitimate XTC release.

Eighty-one-point-eighty-two bloody pounds sterling.
Yes, I paid bloody sucker's retail at the bloody APE
website, and please don't tell me how much I could
have saved by going to Uncle Buddy's
Artist-Backstabbing House of Nosebleed Discounts. I
want at least bloody tuppence to end up in bloody Mr.
Partridge's change pocket. Maybe if he's feeling
flush, he'll give bloody Mr. Moulding a jingle and ask
him if he's written one bloody song this entire bloody
millennium and would fancy the thought of, oh, I don't
know, getting together and MAKING SOME MUSIC TOGETHER
UNDER THE NAME *XTC*?

Let me stir up some blasphemy here-

I'm just listening to a selection of songs by the Electric Light
Orchestra, and it's friggin' fantastic! I'd forgotten just how
fantastic, and what a GENIUS Jeff Lynne is.

John Lennon cited them as a favourite: "just how The Beatles might
have sounded if we'd kept going". Todd Rundgren, erstwhile XTC
producer, covered "Do Ya" with Utopia. Noel Gallagher from Oasis said
of the oft-derided "Free As A Bird" (produced by Lynne): "It's the
bollocks!" What more proof do you need?

Except, a fantasy- wouldn't it be nice (!) if OUR BOYS could team
up with Jeff twiddling the knobs? What a barnstorming rekkid that
could be.

Meanwhile, dig out yer old ELO stuff that you hid in the back closet
and play 'em loud. You'll get shivers of delight, I guarantee.
