Message-ID: <BAY18-F36cLp8KCWf710008ab31@hotmail.com> Hello everyone As I was sitting here listening to the KROC Acoustic Tour/Interview CD that I have, I was thinking about how lucky the DJ and assorted KROC staff were to witness this event. There couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 people there besides the band... and it got me thinking: Does anyone know what the largest concert (crowd of people) XTC has played in front of? Thanks in advance, Thomas In Rotation: Curve- The Way of Curve 1990/2004 Paul Weller- More Wood (Little Splinters) Scissor Sisters- Self Titled Amores Perros Soundtrack and of course... lots of XTC

I know that Dave is the biggest Beach Boys / Brian Wilson fan of all the (ex) members so that was an easy guess. And from there its just a small step of course to 'fourth Duke' and brother Ian G. Blood being thicker than water and all that... As ever yours in xtc,

Message-ID: <20040907195357.18372.qmail@station195.com> Howdy Chalkfolk. Another longtime listmember out for a delurk for a brief moment, with a funny story. I went out with the family to a local mall wearing my trusty Chalkhorse shirt. Standing outside a "girls store" that I let my wife enter without me, a man pointed to me and said, "English Settlement?" Once I picked my jaw up off the floor, I said, "Yes it is. I feel validated." "And Chalkhills would be a fan club?" "Sorta. Go to Chalkhills dot org for the site." Man and I had a conversation -- he, being about 20 years older than me, explained how he missed out on seeing XTC and The Jam live in New York when Andy cancelled the show. I didn't want to tell him that my parents wouldn't have let me into the city on a school night. But as he left he said, "Thanks for the memory trip. Dot org, right?" That made my weekend. -ira, snipping snipping snipping.

Both have great new CD's. I personally like MM a little better because you can heard Tom Waits' influence. Victor Rocha www.pechanga.net

XTC is mentioned in the liner notes. Its a collection of all their videos and a cd of new material as well! those of you who haven't heard Primus and like the earlier xtc might want to give it a chance: the lively art rock. I think of it as drums and wires meets a metallic captain beefheart. i once had an ice cube her name was Mary my chilly little ice cube now she's gone doesn't nothing ever last forever? http://www.primusville.com/ -- Another Steve
