I like that show, so I can't say Fridays are a TV wasteland, but its all opinion anyway. But really, two hours of the premis? It was probably a bit much to take. Better to move to Thursday.

The producers are looking to find a venue to air all 13 of the episodes they completed, and a DVD set is not out of the question, but unlikely. A shame, as the show was quite good. I should have known its fate was sealed when I went to the 20th Television (the show's co-producer) suite at a television executives conference back in January and nobody had ever heard of the program.

A friend of mine sent me the following link. As a 70s performer under the management of Simon Napier-Bell (a loveable rogue as she puts it), she successfully retrieved long-lost moneys owing to her. This is a site that lists unclaimed royalty payments due to musicians and songwriters for airplay and public performance usage of their recordings in the United Kingdom. If you scroll through the alphabetical list, it's quite amazing to see some extremely well-known names who haven't been paid, or haven't claimed their due, among the myraid of relative unknowns. DAVE GREGORY is listed! He's due however many pence for having appeared on Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers"! Buy yerself a pint Dave! One of the questions was "What is your favorite musical moment from the show?" His answer: There is one that's my favorite: Bill getting picked last in gym class with the XTC song, No Language in Our Lungs. That was one of my favorite songs growing up. And we had that scene put together - generally we would write to certain songs - but this one we didn't quite know. We went days and days trying to put other music on and everybody resisted, and finally we showed it to some people with that on and somebody burst into tears. I just think it transcends what you normally get to do on TV. It's funny, sad, heartbreaking - I love the heartbreaking stuff, which is another reason we probably got canceled.
