your recent post about "beatles rock band" (the game) was typically
interesting and informative. you raised some salient points and voiced some
valid opinions.
but also typically, you whinged and moaned. as you always seem to have.
you're a well-balanced person - that is, you have a giant chip on EACH
shoulder. that's one reason why you and i ceased to be friends. i won't
say in a public forum like this, what some of the other reasons are, or
describe some of the thoroughly nasty things you did to me.
in your post, you suggested that others might join you on X-box to play the
said game. good luck, but i strongly doubt you'd have many takers. most
clear-thinking people tend to avoid maladroits who constantly complain.
and, you aspiring to be like mccartney is a preposterous notion. whatever
else, at least he has a modicum of talent.
on a happier note folks, my fabs mono box set (strictly limited edition) has
arrived. i'm about to high-tail it to the shop to pick it up. i won't be
ranting or whingeing, but it will be interesting, after so many years, to
hear the sometimes superior mono mixes, and to re-learn that sometimes ringo
hasn't got blisters on his fingers. loved the stereo box, sensational
remastered sound and presentation. there, not a word of complaint or any
nit-picking. unlike some, i'm quite a happy chappy, thank you.
gratutious but spurious XTC content: was watching "the prisoner" t'other day
(patrick mcgoohan, not vinegar-tits). was a thrill to see portmerion in
wales - would love to visit there someday. that's the location where XTC
filmed promos for "the meeting place" and "the man who sailed around his
soul". recommend you seek out "the prisoner" on DVD or something. it ends
with patrick mcgoohan emerging from his incarceration to the sounds of "all
you need is love". which is where we came in...
