Message-ID: <98324605-4B42-470B-AA89-105212A28B2D@sbcglobal.net> Hello, i am a longtime fan from los angeles. i simply would like to suggest an idea that i feel would make natural sense and would possibly preserve the brilliant music they have made for the last 20 years or so. An XTC musical!HUH? there are so many songs that could work to make up a really kool musical. i'm not even one for musicals myself but i can see this glaringly clear. Maybe called the Mayor of simpleton or whatever.apple venus and skylarking have so many songs that would work.ofcourse the other albums have tons of great songs that could work as wll but to me those two have a lot of connection yet different.both have songs that seem perfectly suited. think about "but i can't own her" thats a scene out of a classic movie.definetelly cinematic. enough of my rambling. if it is possible to pass this idea on to Andy and colin great other wise just and idea i needed to get out my head. far fetched maybe. hope not. thanks much, miles tackett milesombass@hotmail.com

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'. AP

If you want to know what the band's new "toys" were on this album, or which '60s single influenced some of his singing on the song, check out the XTCfans blog site at http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans. It goes "live" on September 1, 2007. http://www.myspace.com/kingforadayxtctribute I will rotate the songs out periodically (once a month right now but more frequently when more people visit). Starting around the first of the year, I would like to reserve one song space for XTC cover songs that are not on King For A Day. So, contact me if you have something to contribute. If you contributed to any of the XTC tributes that I produced (all of which are included on the King For A Day mp3 CD) and have a MySpace page, let me know and I will post a link to your page when your song is posted. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the King For A Day mp3 CD (140+ songs!), send me a message. Cheers, Richard
