There is also an XTC version of "I Am The Walrus" with
Colin on lead vocals. Dandy cover, that.

Obviously, I won't even get started on the covers from
Fuzzy Warbles...

Hello there.
Wifey got "the Gilmore Girls" from the library to watch (for some reason)
and found this at the beginning of an episode. Crazy. Apologies if you've
all seen it before...

Hi:

Over at the XTCfans MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com/xtcfans), the
song of the week is "No Language in Our Lungs.

If you want to know when Andy wrote the song (and what it was called),
and which Brit Rock band's songs served as the "musical template" for
it, check out the XTCfans blog site at http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans.

I would have made this instrumental

Hi,
I'm a somewhat lapsed member of this mailing list (never got time to read
the things, so I unsubscribed around 2002)

Anyway I just thought I would mention this,
While visiting Vintage & Rare guitars in Denmark St (London), I passed a
comment regarding an Epiphone Newport that they have in stock, and how Colin
Moulding was the only Newport user I could think of, and then manager piped
up and said that Colin had been in about 10 days previously looking at the
basses they had in stock.

I mentioned that there where quotes about Colin giving up on music, and they
said that he had been interested in several items they had in stock.

Hopefully this points towards Colin just being a bit tired and needing a
rest from the music business.

Oh yeah anybody have any info regarding Mr Gregory, as I havn't really seen
any updates regarding Dave since early 2004.

Rob...

What am I missing?

I'm a Beatle (and even a Paul) completist (Yes, I even
have mono mixes of Ram) but I can't understand the
high praise for Memory Almost Full.

I found it to be sedate, predestrian, uninspired and
quite dull. The sort of throw-aways that shows Paul
is sorely lacking a foil.

Would an unknown artist have even landed a deal with
this disc as a demo? I'd be surprised.

The best album since...? Well, to be honest that's
not hard -- Paul's releases over the past decade or
two have been scattershot at best. And although Chaos
and Creation had moments, it wasn't as superb as
people claimed.

Paul stated somewhere that this album was mostly
written (and even recorded) before the last album,
which means it's not a response to the divorce.

What a shame! Maybe a bit of anger and angst is what
he needs.....

I don't wish to start a brawl over this (Hey, I'm a
Beatle and solo Beatle freak!) (I even enjoyed
Brainwashed and still listen to it from time to time)
but I tend to think that people are so desperate for
new Beatle product that any glimmer of hope is
immediately seized upon and put on a pedestal.

living in hope

Steve (in Australia)

p.s. - I will give the disc another couple of listens
to try and be fair.
