Subject: XTC Live

This whole discussion of XTC live vs. Memorex is amusing to me.  I'm wondering
how many of the naysayers to live XTC have actually seen them.  The MTV bits
and one shot on Letterman does not make a concert tour.  I saw them in
1981, and I can tell you that it was one of the best live performances I have
ever seen.  I'm convinced that Andy became exhausted because of the care
and craft that they use in putting on a live show.  At the time, I hadn't
heard much of their music beyond "Generals and Majors", but that concert
made me a convert for life.  I personally have always wanted to hear
"Jason and the Argonauts" live, and hope that one day I will.

Maybe they could come to the Stone Pony before it gets torn down, nice bar
type atmosphere...

	I don't know why you guys are getting so contorted over the digital
delay lock-on in "Mayor of Simpleton".  It's just a silly little detail that
gave the song some extra flavor.

P.S.  I not especially thrilled about the sytho-glockenspiel in the same
      section of the song, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
      You guys need to relax.  These kinds of discussions can turn even the
      biggest fan sour on the group.  Hey notice how I said that without
      resorting to calling anyone a retard or otherwise insulting their
      intelligence???  It's really not that difficult.
