That is an unidentied person calling in to a radio show to complain
about a song called "Go Fuck Yourself With Your Atom Bomb".  Dukes
and early XTC producer John Leckie taped it and they threw it on the
album.  Incidentally, the little backwards gibberish at the end of
"Mole From The Ministry" is someone singing "Go fuck yourself with
your atom bomb."

In other news, it is clear from reading the Musician interview, and hearing
the demo for "My Paint Heroes" that Andy Partridge has bought a
Roland D-50 synthesizer.  Hopefully, it will break before it has a chance
to infect XTC records...  Let's all pray, brothers and sisters.

I recently found a new XTC bootleg, BLACK SEA TOUR '81.

It looks like a US-made boot, though I'm not sure.  It has the artwork from
the "Generals And Majors" EP on the front cover, and a promo photo of the
band members on the back.

It was recorded in February, 1981 at the Hammersmith Odeon, and the sound
quality is great.  It's in full stereo, and was obviously taken from a
professionally done tape, and as it's just under an hour long, I'm lead to
believe that it might be from the BBC College Concert Series, King Biscuit
Flour Hour, or some other such radio concert series.

Anyway, the tracks are:

Yes, it's from the BBC College Concert series.  This bootleg (I just
saw this today, also) was probably taken directly from the BBC
transcription disc.  The sound quality of the original is really
great, and this is a pretty good performance, including the crowd
sing-along with the beginning of "Respectable Street".  The original
BBC record has an announcer at the beginning, and at the end of the
first half.

However, I believe "Set Myself on Fire" is the B-side to the "Towers
of London" single, and wasn't on the original BBC concert vinyl.

Also, I believe that "Egyptian Solutions" should actually be called
"Bushman President".
