Subject: XTC Reissues

Actually, today, the 19th, our local record emporium posted that release date
for the Geffen reissues is now March 26th. Bummer. Along with the continued
depression I feel with the new Residents album in limbo because Enigma folded
and the depression of the Fishbone album postponed for a MONTH, it was not a
good day.
On a related note, has anybody tried printing the XTC discography PS doc to a
LaserWriter NTX from a Mac?
AND I really like "Travels in Nihilon." It's great car music, what with
steadily building intensity. "The wa The wa The wa The warrior The warrior,"
I say, is a great bit.

Can anybody tell me what the XTC CD "Explode Together" is about?

What is the name of the new "dub experiments" cd?  Does it have any material
that was/ was not on "Take Away" by Mr. Partridge?

regarding the two versions of Skylarking, it's true-- the LP came
without Dear God, but when the single was released they recalled
the first LP and released the version with Dear God.  My friend
has both versions... figures the original will be worth a few bucks
some year.

I like it too. I have the UK version without "Dear God" and don't even know
the song! It's not even available over here! I'll go on holiday in England in
2 months (in Devon for those of you who want to know) and hope they'll have
the "Dear God" CD somewhere.

I Just finished playing it for the second time today. I have a JVC-portable
CD player with two Alecto speakers here at work. It sounds nice (and a
continous supply with coffee from interested colleagues guaranteed! ;-)).

Me too. However "Go 2" still has *lots* of good moments!

Yeah, right again. I'll even dare go as far as saying that only some songs of
"Oranges and Lemons" should have been deleted to make it a masterpiece. But
I guess this is something like the the-Beatles-"White Album"-should-have-been-
a-single-album debate...

The XTC re-releases are out, according to College Music Journal, about
the 25th or 26th of March.  You've got a coupla days.

Does anyone have a "Dear God" CD I can buy?  I'd love to hear the Safari
again...
