Subject: Where are all the XTC b-sides?
After getting R&BB, I was curious as to exactly where which B-sides
were located on CD's, so I dug out an old discography and went through
picking out non-LP tracks and determining which CD they were on. Here's
what I came up with. Please let me know if I missed anything!

Respectable Street (live) - NA
Are you talking about the "Urgh!" version? If so, it is available on
CD -- an unfortunately edited version of "Urgh!" having been released
on the shiniest of all recording media. Several songs are criminally
omitted, but at least XTC survived the cut.
Boy, wouldn't those misc. live tracks make a nice disc?
Sure would...heck, if there's enough of a market for "Explode
Together" to be worth Virgin's while, a live album's gotta be a
winner, financially speaking...

Well, the mystery has been solved, and they are *exactly the same*. I start the medication on Monday. ---- While I agree that "Countdown to Christmas Party Time" and Nick Lowe's "Breaking Glass" are different types of songs, I still think the "piano-over-guitar" effect is very similar (and pretty cool) in both songs. One song still makes me think of the other. ---- I just noticed that Warner Bros. has put _Skylarking_ in the budget category ($9.99 for the CD at Sound Warehouse in Chicago): maybe this will bring more folks into the fold! ---- And finally... I have an extra copy of the _Black Sea_ CD in my collection. This version was pressed in West Germany as Virgin CDV 2173. The matrix area on the disc says "Mastered by Nimbus" (which I realize many Euro- and Anglo-Virgin CDs carry). I can't decide. Should I get "Explode Together" even though I already own "Take Away/The Lure of Salvage" on vinyl??? Is it worth it JUST to get "Go+"? I've been dying to get my hands on "Go+" for a while now, until Eric posted what was on it. Now I'm not so sure. I can't say that having 20,000,000 remixes of the same song is all that appealing. And if it was that appealing, I think having merely TA/LS would be plenty. On the other hand, "Rag & Bone Buffet" sounds like a "must have", even though I have "Beeswax". Ahhhhhhhhh!!
