Hi all,

Way back in the early part of the century, when XTC was still a going
concern, one Jamie Lowe sought like minded Chalkhillians to become part
of a group that became known as the CD of the Month Club. Members each
take a month, burn a disc of whatever will fit, they like, will spark
conversation, etc., and mail it out to the rest of the group.

A few years later I, perhaps naively, took over the reins. We're going
into the 8th go 'round of the club and we need new blood. We've had a
record number of retirements leaving a gaping hole in our kollege of
musical knowledge, which means we'd like you.

What are the qualifications? None, besides the ability to burn and mail
discs. Despite the XTCentrism of the members, we've had all sorts of
music from Half Man Half Biscuit to Mrs. Miller (though not too much of
her, thank God!).

Care to join? Just write to william.d.sherlock@gmail.com and let me know.

Hoping to win the lotto to make it over to Manchester in '10,
Bill Sherlock

Thanks! Nice review. Still confused though so there* are* bonus tracks
here that were *not* collected in *Fuzzy Warbles*?
Also, these are only out on CD now, right? Any chance of vinyl? Has anyone
heard?

Somewhere in the United States is hidden The Silver Key....

So begins the introduction to The Silver Key, a CD / Treasure Hunt by
The Weirdo Deluxe. The Austin-based outfit created an intriguing
concept album, with a cash prize that gets bigger depending on how
many albums are sold. But this is no one-trick-pony. Performers
include Ian McLagan (Small Faces), Dave Gregory (XTC), and a host of
Austin's finest talent. The album is officially released on September
15, but if you'd like to be among the first to get one, you can pre-
order at the site: www.findthesilverkey.com.

Good luck!

Greetings from Winchester,

I've read a few interviews in which Andy praises some of his favourite
songs of Colin's (Bungalow, Frivolous Tonight, I seem to recall -
there may well be others), but haven't read anything in which Colin
singles out his favourite Partridge songs - I've probably missed
something. Any ideas?
