Oh, I feel so old...I listened to those Boston broadcasts *when they
were actually being broadcast* (and yes, recorded the FNX one). Dear
god, that's nearly 20 years ago! :O

Evenin' all, long time no post.

One was just browsing the "Songfacts" website for the first time in ages,
and one stumbled across this:

http://www.songfacts.com/writing/2008/07/songwriters-workshop-part-1.html

It has a little (and rather manic) contribution from Partsy a scroll or two
down the page.

(It's currently linked to from the Songfacts front page, if anyone's
interested).

Right. Back to sleep.

Smudge out.

Here's a YouTube video of XTC recording and listening back to "That Wave."

What's cool about this video is one can hear Dave's original guitar solo
(which was re-recorded at the mixdown session).

Hi:

Over at the XTCfans MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com/xtcfans), the
song of the week is the BBC version of "No Thugs in Our House."

This week, Dave Gregory looks back on the recording of the song,
taking the lord's name in vain as he recalls the volume of his
"thuggish" guitar part. Check it out at the XTCfans blog site at
http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans.

And all the while, Graham slept on,
dreaming of a world where he could do just what he wanted to.
